As a sophomore, Ward garnered All-America honors in the 200 IM (seventh) and was an honorable mention All-American in the 400 IM and 200 backstorke (ninth in both).
Ward enjoyed her most prolific season as a junior, qualifying for four NCAA Championships individual events and joining Flyer teammates in three relays at the national meet. She earned All-American status in the 200 IM and 800 freestyle relay (eighth in both) and was All-American honorable mention in the 400 IM (ninth), 400 freestyle relay (11th) and 400 medley relay (13th). Lewis placed 11th in the team standings, its highest national finish, and Ward collected the third of three consecutive Lewis Most Valuable Swimmer awrds.
Ward qualified for six NCAA events as a senior and brought home one All-American honor (eighth, 800 freestyle relay) and four honorable mention awards (13th, 400 freestlye relay; 14th, 1000 freestyle; 14th, 200 medley relay; 15th 400 medley relay).
