Kathleen Charboneau

Kathy Charboneau played volleyball for the Flyers from 1976-1979.  She quickly established herself as the premiere power hitter in the Flyer attack and led Lewis to its first state championship in 1978.  During her four years stay Lewis’ overall record was 189-57.  Charboneau was captain of the volleyball team in 1980.  She was voted to the AIAW All-Midwest Tournament Team in 1978 and 1979.  Her teammates voted her the Most Valuable Player in 1976 and 1979.  Kathy became the first Lewis player named to the Midwest Catholic Classic in 1978 and repeated the honor in 1979.  In 1978, she helped guide Lewis to a sixth place finish in the National Volleyball Championships, Lewis’ first National Tournament appearance.  In 1979, she was an integral part of the third place finish in the National Championships.
 
Kathy graduated with honors compiling a 3.52 / 4.00 grade point average.  Kathy Charboneau is credited with helping establish Lewis as a national volleyball power.
 
Charboneau is a sale representative with Poly-Pac Incorporated, Dalton, Georgia.
