In 1994, her junior season, Tisha McDonald became the first Lewis women's soccer player to earn All-American honors when she was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division II second team. Playing all but 20 minutes of that season, she tallied a school-record 0.98 goals-against average and added nine shutouts and 73 saves to help lead Lewis to a 15-3-1 mark.
That season set the stage for the most successful campaign in Lewis women's soccer history. McDonald concluded her career in 1995 by registering a 1.18 GAA, school-record 10 shutouts and 119 saves; she played every minute in a magical season that saw the Flyers storm to a 16-4-2 record, go undefeated and unties in conference play, win the first-ever GLVC women's soccer title, make the Lewis program's first NCAA Championship tournament appearnace and achieve the No. 6 ranking in the final NCAA Division II national poll.
McDonald had a 1.08 GAA, five shutouts and 76 saves as a sophomore, and she was named Lewis' Most Valuable Player following freshman season in which she recorded a 1.35 GAA, eight shutouts and 120 saves.
McDonald owns Lewis career records of a 1.15 GAA and 32 shutouts and stands second all-time with 388 saves. She also holds four of the Flyers' top-five single-season GAA marks and four of the program's top-five single-season shutout totals. Lewis accumulated a 50-23-4 record (.675) during her career.
