Isaac Jean-Paul competed on Lewis’s men’s track and field team from 2014-2016 and was a five-time NCAA Division II All-American in jumps.  Jean-Paul owns the Lewis and the Great Lakes Valley Conference record in the high jump. Jean-Paul qualified for the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championships in the high jump event and finished first place, winning him the individual championship. Jean-Paul registered a career best 100-meter time at the GLVC Championships. Won the GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year Award in 2015. Jean-Paul owns the Paralympics World Record in the high jump. Jean-Paul competed in the last two 2020 and 2024 Paralympics, winning a bronze medal in Tokyo then earned a silver in Paris. Jean-Paul won a gold medal at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships in the Long Jump. Isaac’s mother Rosemary is also a member of the Lewis Hall of Fame Class of 2002.  Jean-Paul currently serves as an advocate for individuals with disabilities. He served as a head coach for the SDSU Adaptive Sports. Jean-Paul is an published author for two books.
