Dave Lucheon was a member of the Lewis gold team from 1978-1980. He is considered the finest golfer in Lewis history. After transferring from Arizona State University in 1978, Dave established himself as the number one player on the Flyer squad and held that position all three years that he competed. In three years of match play competition for the Flyers, his individual records was 61-2. Dave placed first in the Chicagoland Collegiate Golf Conference Championships in 1978 and 1979, while finishing third in 1980. He was named Most Valuable Player for the Flyers in 1978, 1979 and 1980. Dave was also named to the NCAA Division II All-State Team in 1980.
Lucheon graduated with high honors in Accounting, earning a grade point average of 3.82 / 4.00. He also received the College of Business Faculty Award for Excellence in Accounting. Lucheon received his Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois in 1983.
Dave is currently working for the accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney, Chicago, Illinois, where he is a Certified Public Accountant. He also is a teaching golf professional at Silver Lakes Country Club in Orland Park, Illinois.
