James Singler

    For 20 years, James Singler has contributed significant time and financial support as a member of the Lewis University Golf Outing Committee.
    Singler played for the Lewis baseball team from 1965-67, helping the Flyers post a combined 83-24 record, win three Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference titles and earn three NAIA national tournament berths. The 1966 team finished second in the nation.
    From 1969-71, Singler served in the Army's 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. He was a 1969 honor graduate of the Fort Still Artillery School and a finalist for 101st Airborne 1970 Soldier of the Year.
    Singler, who lives in Crete and has a son, Michael, is director of warehousing and inventory control for Globe Building Materials. He also has served as regional sales manager for Uniroyal and as director of logistics for Jovan, where he earned the 1981 Employee if the Year Award. Singler has been a partner and owner of Classic Edition Fragrances since 1998.
