Rocco Tarsitano

Rocco Tarsitano was a tackle on the football team from 1948-52.  After playing for Austin High School on two city championships.  Rocco continued his championship string at Lewis as the 1949 team posted an 8-0-0 record while winning the Badger-Illini Conference while the 1951 team went 7-1-0, won the Midlands Conference Title and went on to post a victory in the Corn Bowl.  Rocco is one of only two Flyers to be voted to the Little All-American Team.  Tarsitano has coached the Joliet Explorer Semi-Professional team, has served on the Morton East High School Board and is self-employed in the service station business.
 
He is married, the father of two daughters and resides in Western Springs.
