Michelle Vucsko had a stellar four year career for the Flyer softball team. Vucsko played and started in all 209 contests during 2010-2013 for the Flyers.Â
Vucsko was a four-time All-GLVC Honoree for her performance in the infield. During her career, Vuscko hit .359, 22 home runs and 154 RBI.
Vucsko started her Lewis career strong after hitting .420 in 55 games with 74 hits, 36 runs scored three home runs and 50 RBI. Her 50 RBI ranks second all-time in Lewis history. Vucsko walked more times (79) than striking out (77).
The infielder followed up her freshman season by hitting .310 with 49 total hits, 35 runs, four home runs and 41 RBI during her sophomore campaign. During her junior year, Vuscko hit .325 with 51 hits, 16 doubles, nine home runs and 42 RBI. Vuscko followed up her junior campaign with a .363 clip her senior year while picking up 53 hits, seven doubles, six home runs and 24 RBI.Â
Vucsko was a winner of the Delahanty Award three times during her time at Lewis which is given to Lewis student athletes for academic excellence and was named Academic All-GLVC as well. Â
During her time at Lewis, the Flyers went the the NCAA Tournament two times in her freshman and sophomore seasons.Â
Vuscko graduated from Lewis in 2013 with a degree in English and currently serves as a teacher at Evergreen Park High School.Â
