Angelo Divinere

Angelo Divinere played both baseball and football for the Flyers.  DiVinere was captain of both teams during the 1954 season.  The 1951 football team was the Midlands Conference Champions and participated in the Corn Bowl.  During his senior year he was voted to the All-Catholic All-American Team as well as the All Midlands Conference Team.  A fullback for the Flyers, DiVinere ran for more than 900 yards his senior year while totaling the almost unbelievable average of 95 yards per carry.  Angelo was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in baseball and the Green Bay Packers in football.  He served as a first Lieutenant in the Marine Corps from 1957-59.
 
He resides in Clarendon Hills and is in the automobile business.
