Lewis University Athletics

The Lewis men’s soccer team in 2001 as the Flyers went 20-1-1 which tops in school-history and found themselves ranked No. 1 in the nation on two separate occasions during the regular season. The team won the GLVC Regular Season Title as well as the GLVC Postseason Tournament and qualified for the NCAA DII Men’s Soccer Tournament while finishing the season ranked No. 10. The team featured All-American and Lewis/GLVC Hall of Famer John Thompson. Ranked fifth in NCAA DII in GAA (0.75).
