William Stratton

Stratton was the workhouse of the 1948, 1949, 1950 and 1951 football squads; the teams that won four conference championships and in 1951, a post-season Corn Bowl victory over William Jewel College, 21-12.  During Stratton’s years in the backfield, Lewis posted a 25-7 record.  He also lettered in basketball; but is better known for his football feats.  Stratton owns the career and season scoring records as well as the Lewis career rushing record of 6.7 yards per carry.  
 
Stratton, a 1951 business graduate now works for the C & S Company and resides in Hinsdale.
