A four-year varsity basketball starter, Robson garnered many honors, among them unanimous All Midlands Conference selections in 1970 and 1974. (He was the first freshman in conference history to be named unanimously.) He finished in the top ten in conference scoring all four years, finishing second in 1974 with a 25 points per game average. He was Lewis' top scorer in a game versus DePaul University with 26 points in 1971. Robson ranks high in several Lewis offensive categories, including career top ten totals in points scored, free throws made, and games played. His single season records include top five in schoring in 1974 and top ten in single game points scored with 43. He captained the team in 1974 and, along with Hall of Famer Ron Williams, formed the most prolific scoring combination in Lewis history.
