Ron Williams played basketball for the Flyers from 1973-1975.  Heavily recruited out of high school, Williams chose Fort Scott Junior College, Fort Scott, Kansas, where he had an outstanding two year career.  Upon graduation he matriculated to Lewis University where he quickly established himself as one of the finest players ever in Lewis basketball history.

Ron’s accomplishments in a two year period rival those of most four year players.  He is the tenth all-time leading scorer in Lewis history with 1218 career points.  He ranks first in most points scored in a single season (1973-1974) with 776.  He ranks first in most field goals in a single season with 315 (1973-1974).  Williams single season scoring average of 25.9 (1973-1974) also ranks first in that category in Lewis history.

Williams led the Flyers in scoring in both the 1974 and 1975 seasons.  He was captain of the 1974-75 team.  Williams was voted the Most Valuable Player Award in both 1974 and 1975.

Ron is married and employed in group insurance sales.  He and his wife Barbara reside in Chicago.
