Terry Lynn Botkin

Terri Botkin played volleyball for the Flyers from 1979-1982.  Terri also played basketball in 1979 and 1980.  She was one of the great power hitters in Lewis volleyball history.  During her four years at Lewis the overall volleyball record was 170-56.  She was selected to the Midwest Catholic Classic All-Tournament Team in 1979, 1980, 1981, and 1982.  Her teammates voted her Most Valuable Player in 1982.
 
Botkin was voted to the All-State Team in 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982.  In 1981 she was voted to the All-Regional Team and also selected as the Most Valuable Player in the Regional Tournament.
 
Lewis won the Illinois State Volleyball Championship three of the four years that Botkin played.  Her 1979 team finished third in the nation in the AIAW National Tournament.  Her 1981 team finished second in the NCAA National Championships.
 
In 1979 Terri was named to the All-American Volleyball Team.
 
Terri is employed at Joliet Central High School where she also coaches the freshman volleyball team and sophomore team.
