Ed Deegan played soccer and competed on the track & field team from 1970-1974.  Deegan was instrumental in turning both programs into winners.  The combined record during the four years he played soccer was 45-16-3.  Deegan was selected to the NAIA All-District and All-Midwest teams in 1974.  He was also voted the Most Valuable Player Award during the 1974 season and was invited to the Olympic tryouts in St. Louis, Missouri.
 
Deegan competed in and was a mainstay on the track & field team.  In 1974 he set marks in the long jump (23’11”) and triple jump (48’5 ½”) which still stand today.  Deegan scored points in every meet he competed.  He was voted the Most Valuable Player Award in 1972, 1973 and 1974.  Deegan ended his career by competing in the NAIA National Championships in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
 
Ed Deegan is a senior analyst for the Rainer Bank of Seattle, Washington.  He and his wife Deborah have a daughter and reside in Tacoma, Washington.
